Thuluthan’s founder, Saleh, born and raised in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, has made a significant impact on the city’s hospitality scene, transforming its landscape. His work extends beyond his current portfolio of over 20 standalone hospitality spaces, as he also serves as a board member of the Madinah Chamber of Commerce. These roles reflect his dedication to the city's broader development. His vision for Madinah is deeply intertwined with his business goals—to elevate its standards and showcase its beauty to the world.

With Madinah projected to attract 30 million visitors by 2030, Saleh recognizes the immense potential in blending religious, cultural, and historical experiences to create a vibrant, sustainable economy.

Looking ahead, Saleh envisions a future where Madinah thrives as a global destination while preserving its Islamic heritage. To him, Madinah is more than just a city—it is a cherished entity deserving of care and respect, much like the reverence one shows to their parents. His dedication to Madinah reflects his broader philosophy of life: to seek beneficial knowledge, build lasting legacies, and pursue excellence in all endeavors.

Founder Sumaiya’s journey into the culinary world began in Los Angeles, where she earned a degree in Culinary Arts before embarking on a 15-year career in fine dining. Immediately after graduating, she began working at some of the most highly acclaimed restaurants in Los Angeles, which eventually led to a decade-long career in New York City. There, she worked at Eleven Madison Park, which was hailed as the best restaurant in the world at the time.

Sumaiya ultimately ended her restaurant career after spending a year in Hong Kong running two Michelin-rated restaurants. Since then, she has become the founder and partner of “All In Hospitality,” a private cheffing and consulting company, as well as Thuluthan.

The work ethic in America’s culinary industry reminded Sumaiya of the Islamic principle of ihsan (excellence). She has always been inspired to pursue excellence in everything she accomplishes in the culinary world, and now she is coupling that level of ihsan with the mission to revive Sunnah-inspired foods and practices.
